Specific Performance Law Petition

As a result of intense lobbying by the HBPG the following formal systems have been put in place to deal with any issues you have experienced with your property purchase.  The HBPG database of problems is now obsolete and has been deleted as these are been handled on an individual basis by the following:

  • A government run Property Complaints Office was opened on the 2nd July 2007 which will attempt to solve any problems you may have with your property - no Kibtek metered electric, no Belediye metered water, no access, no regulation build permits, sub-standard build, no permission to purchase, no title, etc.

  • Please complete a Lawyer Assessment Form for any lawyer that you have engaged in the process of buying your property.  The information received will be analysed for our proposed action against any lawyer that is considered to have failed to meet acceptable standards.

  • If you have a problem with the estate agent please register with the PCO and also send details of your complaint to cteaa@cteaa.org, website www.cteaa.org.

  • AGA Buyers: All Aga buyers must register their details with Serap Destigul in the TRNC London Office

  • For general consumer complaints you should contact the Consumer Association on 0392 228 9520 or e-mail tukder@superonline.com,  If you have a complaint it is best to make an appointment with Hasan Yilmaz Işık.

Registering your problem/complaint will not jeopardise any negotiations you are involved in with your builder or anyone else.  If you do not want the illegal building to continue you must inform the correct authorities as they are the only people who can correct the mistakes of the past and ensure that all property investments are secure in the future.
