Title Transfer Tax

The government has announced a temporary reduction in both buyers and professional sellers taxes:

• buyers transfer reduction is 75% making it 1.5% of the 6% or 0.75% of the optional discounted 3% rate
• sellers stopaj tax reduction is 2% making it 4.25% for professional sellers (there is no reduction for non-professional sellers)

KDV (VAT) remains unchanged at 5%.

There has been a further 3 month extension to buyers transfer tax reduction which is now scheduled to expire on the 31st December 2009.

All receipts are valid for 21 days only which means that title transfer must take place within 21 days of paying your taxes.
